- Araldite Rapid is designed for the structural assembly of various materials such as metals, ceramics, glass, wood and many rigid plastics. It ensures excellent adhesion on these substrates provided the surfaces are degreased beforehand.
- What is the recommended procedure to ensure the strength of the assembly?
- It is imperative to mix the two components in equal volumes until a uniform colour is obtained. Once applied, constant pressure must be maintained on the parts during the initial curing phase to ensure the integrity of the bonded joint.
- Does the adhesive have sufficient chemical resistance for industrial use?
- The cured adhesive offers good resistance to moisture and most common chemical agents encountered in workshop environments. However, it is not recommended for prolonged exposure to aggressive solvents or service temperatures exceeding its formulation limits.
