- What is the meaning of grade 4.8 for this threaded rod?
- Grade 4.8 indicates the mechanical properties of the steel in accordance with the NF EN ISO 898-1 standard. The figure 4 corresponds to a minimum tensile strength of 400 MPa and the 8 to a yield strength equal to 80% of this resistance, i.e. 320 MPa.
- Does the zinc-plated finish allow for outdoor use?
- The white zinc-plated finish offers limited protection against corrosion caused by surface oxidation. It is recommended for dry indoor environments and is not suitable for environments exposed to inclement weather or saline humidity.
- Can this threaded rod be used for structural assemblies subject to high stress?
