FW12-B

Shaft end supports (SHF, SK, SH series to JIS B 0202) secure the end of a cylindrical guide shaft to a frame. Made of steel or aluminium, they ensure the stability of the shaft span on either the free or fixed side. Diameters from 8 to 80 mm.

Shaft end supports form the mechanical interface between a guide shaft and the supporting structure. Several configurations cover the various mounting cases.
End supports (SHF, SK) close off the free end of a shaft. Clamping is achieved by a radial screw that locks the shaft within the bore of the support, either directly (set screw) or by deforming a longitudinal slot (clamping collar). Fixing to the frame is carried out using 4 through-bolts arranged in a rectangular pattern.
Intermediate shaft supports (SH, MSH) are open supports designed to take up the deflection of a long shaft along its span. They are installed in series every 50 to 100 shaft diameters maximum to limit deflection under load. They are compatible only with open linear bushings (LMUK) which pass over the support.
Block variants (SHB, SH-B) incorporate several parallel bores to secure two parallel shafts simultaneously, saving alignment time and improving relative precision.
Materials: aluminium for moderate loads and weight reduction, steel for high loads and maximum rigidity. Anodising for aluminium, zinc plating for steel as standard. AISI 304 or 316L stainless steel variants are available for damp environments or food-processing applications.
The diameter must match the shaft diameter exactly — with no clearance or interference. The flatness of the frame directly affects the final parallelism between shafts and bearing blocks.
